This past weekend Montclair High School's Model Congress team competed at the Yale University Model Congress Competition in New Haven, CT. The team competed against students from schools all over the United States, both public and private. They spent four days debating and arguing for the passage of mock legislation they created.
MHS students, who represented grades 9-12, performed exceptionally well as a team. Some of students were recognized with individual distinctions:
Landon Miller was awarded a Best Legislation Award.
Rosa Baj and Landon Miller each won an Honorable Mention in the Full House.
Ruby Budetti, Jacob Goldman, Jonah Khersonsky, and Cori Stewart each won Honorable Mention Awards in their House committees.
